Steve Jobs doll axed

Eerily-accurate likeness of former Apple CEO canned after "immense pressure" from Jobs' family

Remember that creepy-looking Steve Jobs action figure that was announced a couple of weeks ago? It is no more. Manufacturer In Icons has announced that it's ceasing production of the eerily-accurate doll after coming under "immense pressure" from both Apple and Jobs' family.

"Though we still believe that we have not overstepped any legal boundaries, we have decided to completely stop the offer, production and sale of the Steve Jobs figurine out of our heartfelt sensitivity to the feelings of the Jobs family," said In Icons in a statement released yesterday.

So, bad luck if you were hoping to get your hands on a mini-Jobs – we imagine the original prototype doll will be worth a fortune now.
