Sony Xperia Z release date and price leaks online

Sony's worst kept secret just keeps on giving, as the Xperia Z gets priced and dated online

The Sony Xperia Z has cemented its place in history as the worst kept tech secret since the iPhone 5, with everything from specs and screenshots hitting the internet before its expected reveal next week at CES. The only thing missing was a price and release date, and it looks like we’ve got those details forming too.

Taiwanese site SonyXP has stated that the Xperia Z will cost 19,990 Thai Baht, which is around US$655 or £400. It’s unclear whether that price will change when it hits UK shores, though. The expected release date for the Xperia Z is March, though specific regions aren’t mentioned.

The Sony Xperia Z reportedly comes packing a 5in 1080p display, 2GB RAM and Qualcomm’s mighty 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, which also powers the Google Nexus 4.

There’s no further information on the Sony Xperia ZL which features near-identical specs in a smaller body, but we’ll update you with more info when we can.
