This pinball-themed luxury watch is simply wizard
The Christophe Claret-designed X-TREM-1 Pinball also features the most 1990s name ever. Extreme to the max!
Luxury watchmaker Christophe Claret has revealed the X-TREM-1 Pinball, a techie timepiece inspired by play.
Its pinball machine design features two metal balls to indicate the hours and minutes – which move by magnetic levitation alone.
The complex magnetic levitation system comprises miniature magnetised cartridges pulled along by nanofibre cables which in turn control the movement of the two hollow steel pinball balls. Simple, eh?
It may be mechanically complex, but its titanium construction with ceramic bearings ensure that it’ll keep on ticking long after you’ve petered out.
There’s no price tag for this stunning blue and orange wrist-hugger – you’ll have to bid on it at the Only Watch charity auction to aid the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – but we’re pretty certain we’d need to sell all our worldly possessions to have even the slightest chance of winning.
Guess we’ll stick to salivating from afar. As usual.
