Destiny extended gameplay trailer revealed on PlayStation 4

From Bungie and Activision comes the talk of E3 in a proper gameplay walkthrough – colour us excited

When Bungie and Activision team up, you know the result is going to be a first-person sci-fi shooter to make your hair stand on end. So it is with Destiny – Bungie’s follow-up to Halo.

Destiny was shown off at E3 – and now the full 12-minute gameplay walkthrough has arrived online, so prepare to be tingled. Get a sneak peak at weapons, upgrades, techniques and Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage, who puts in an appearance as your robot assistant Ghost.

Eye watering

The multiplayer looks seamless, even if this demo has painfully forced fake commentary. You can revive your downed pals – which you’ll be doing with depressing regularity in the face of the game’s tough bosses.

Graphically it’s astounding – though frankly you’d expect that, given that it’s launching on next-gen consoles. After you’ve finished drooling over the trailer, you can pre-order Destiny for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 now for a 2014 release.
