Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 set to make its debut at CES

Will the next generation of mobile device screens be able to withstand even the might of Chuck Norris?

Good news today for the accident prone – Corning has announced that its second generation of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass screens will be debuting at CES next week.

We’ve already fallen in love with Gorilla Glass and its superior scratch protection, but there’s always room for improvement and we can’t wait to see what new level of toughness the new screens will bring.

There are no details regarding what to expect as of yet, but we’d welcome thinner, tougher shatterproof screens to prevent the dreaded night out drop-and-smash mishaps that continue to plague gadgeteers worldwide.
