CES 2009: B&W boosts its XT range

Bowers & Wilkins, the chaps behind the mighty Zeppelin, have used CES 2009 to roll out three new models in its XT speaker range.

A new floorstanding model, the XT8 joins the line-up, which is now overhauled along with the standmount XT2 and a dedicated XTC centre speaker.

All three models should hit the shops in April, and as well as the black finish of the outgoing models, the new XTs will also be available in a natural aluminium finish.

Obviously none of this top–end hi–fi excess comes cheap, with the XT8 ringing out at a mighty £2,300 a pair. If you’re not feeling so flush, then the XT2s might do the job at £799, or perhaps the XTC at £599.
