LTE iPhone 5 to land in September

17 Aug 2011

We’re already pretty sure the iPhone 5 will arrive in September, now we’re fairly sure it’ll be sporting LTE 4G capabilities.

Engadget published a picture of an LTE network being set up in an Apple store, and then had to take said photo down. If it was Apple (likely) that made them remove it, that just adds fuel to the rumour fire. The picture also revealed it would be 700MHz band, which AT&T plans to use.

Granted, all this isn’t that relevant for those of us using the UK's sluggish 3G networks, but it shows the iPhone 5 should be future proof and worth the likely steep price tag to be ready for the coming UK 4G connectivity.
