Nikon D4 to get Thunderbolt port?

Super-fast data transfer rumoured for Nikon's forthcoming flagship

Fresh from the unveiling of the Thunderbolt port on the new MacBook Pros, there are rumours that the Nikon D4 will also feature its very own Thunderbolt port for 10Gbps data transfer.

It makes sense. Nikon’s successor to the D3 will be a top-of-the-range pro camera that may be needed in the studio, where it would be tethered to a MacBook and saving the shots straight to the laptop rather than a memory card.

Expect to see a storm of Thunderbolt-equipped hardware to be brewing over the coming months.
