Gameloft's iOS controller treats your thumbs to some analogue gaming goodness

As much as mobile games have progressed in terms of impressive visuals and game mechanics, they're still marred, in our opinion, by the frustrating inaccuracy of touchscreen controls.

If like us you're yearning for a bit of physicality in your life (no, not that kind) then you'll be glad to hear that Gameloft has revealed a shiny new Duo Gamer controller for iOS devices.

In addition to housing two merciful analogue sticks, the Duo Gamer also features four face buttons as well as a pair of triggers. Chuck in the included stand and you have yourself a fairly portable mobile gaming solution for regular and tabletop arcade gaming action.

Five initial Gameloft titles will support the new controller – N.O.V.A, Order and Chaos Online, Modern Combat 3, Brothers in Arms 2 and Asphalt 7 – with plans for more title support in future.

The Duo Gamer can be yours for US$70 and we'll be sure to keep you updated with UK pricing and release information as and when we can.
