apple iphone 5 poll

The iPhone 4S is Apple’s fifth smartphone (following the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. So will Apple call its sixth phone the iPhone 6? Or will it settle with a less confusing (if perhaps less honest) iPhone 5? Or will it bin all this silly numbers business (as it has done with the iPad and simply call it the iPhone? We’re unlikely to find out until after the summer, but what do you think? Let us know below…

It won't be an iPhone 5 because Apple decided to dub the 5th Generation the '4S' instead to empthasise it as a Minor Refresh rather than a Full Overhaul.

Although '4GS' might have small chance of use to promote potential 4G Capabilties (backed up by inclusion from the Recent iPad), '6' or simply 'the new iPhone' is likely as it would be used to promote a Major Overhaul including 4G LTE, A5X Chip and hopefully, a 3.8 - 4.0" Edge to Edge Display.

A6 Quad Core is unlikely because the iPhone has replicated the iPad's chip in the past and improved Graphics Performance (for better Gaming) is a greater focus than adding more speed to an already fluent interface.

Apple is holding off any Screen Size changes because this affects how apps operate although iOS 6 could introduce a Dynamic Widget to display Game Centre/Twitter/Weather/News (based on the App) which would eliminate Black Bar Issues caused by a Different Screen Size and would therefore add effective Screen Space for both Apps and Video Playback. Facebook integration may or may not be considered.

NanoSIM is also highly likely with Design/Component Tweaks to add a slight Battery Boost. Be warned though, it will still be daily charging once you take 4G LTE and Games taking advantage of A5X/A6 although on the positive side, you might get a bit longer playback of Music and Video.
