If you got excited about Apple's Thunderbolt Display with 10Gbps two-way data transfer with your MacBook, you might be interested in what Patently Apple has dug up – it looks like Apple may be planning to add Thunderbolt  connectivity to its iPads and iPhones.

The patents refer to a "new type of connection" between a portable media player and a display, a computer and a display or other devices.
