Apple to bid for Premier League coverage rights?

Apple is in the running to bid for Premier League broadcast rights before the season's end, according to the Daily Mail.

The move would certainly add value to the current Apple TV (which was recently hacked to run iOS apps at 720p) and will likely mirror Apple's NHL, MLB and NBA services currently available across the pond.

This push for broadcast rights will no doubt add fuel to the Apple television rumours that have been vigorously pummelling the interwebs since late last year – so stay tuned for more info...
