Voda’s 3G pretty boy

Meet Sony Ericsson's V600i - conclusive proof that 3G's finally come of age. Get the full details on this feature-packed beauty after the click

Ol’ Sony Erics’s setting itself quite the pedigree for gorgeous 3G phones.

Last year it brought us the drool-covered V800; this year – sometime around October – it’s going to be the Vodafone-only V600i. It’s an equally lust-worthy effort, but eschews its predecessor’s clamshell for a tall ‘n’ skinny design that looks a bit like an ultra posh remote control. And we like posh remotes.

Tech-wise, there’s nowt new here – we’ve seen a 262k colour screen, 1.3MP cam, FM radio and 3G on phones such as the Nokia 6680. It’s also got 32MB internal memory and Bluetooth, though its killer feature could be Vodafone Live’s music downloads and Premiership footie clips from the 05/06 season.

It’s out sometime October/November on Vodafone for a price that’s yet to be announced (£200, we reckon).

The full specs are on Sony Ericsson’s website.
