Sky to launch dedicated Sky Sports 3D channel

The broadcasting giant could give third dimensional sport a dedicated new home

Sky’s movie bosses have revealed to Pocket-Lint that the broadcasting giant is considering to split 3D sports content off into a dedicated Sky Sports 3D channel.

As more and more 3D content becomes available, it’s only natural that scheduling clashes become a problem, so we for one would welcome such a sensible decision.

If the plan gets the green light the existing Sky 3D channel will continue to broadcast films and other content, ensuring that movie buffs won’t be missing out on any coveted extra dimensions either.
