Samsung’s free 3D video-on-demand service launched in UK

The TV giant launches its 3DTV on tap today. Grab your glasses and tune in

Samsung likes being first. It was the first to put app functionality into Smart TVs in the UK. Today Sammy is the first to offer free 3D content over a video-on-demand service. From today, owners of the latest D Series models packing Smart TV will be able to access 20 free 3D films, music videos, children’s classics, documentaries and trailers using the Explore 3D app.

By the end of 2011 Explore 3D will offer 70 free 3D movies. Suddenly those glasses aren’t looking so silly.
