How to install ICS on a Samsung Galaxy S II now

Grab your Galaxy S II, download Kies and get updating – Ice Cream Sandwich is here for O2 users

Ice Cream Sandwich has made it to the Samsung Galaxy S II for O2 customers, and sooner than expected. The announcement came from O2 on Twitter, but don’t be fooled by the modern alert method: the update style is old school. Yep, you need to plug your phone in.

Download the Smasung Kies software, make sure it’s up to date (even the official download may need two updates after you install it). Then plug in your Samsung Galaxy S II via USB cable and enjoy the exciting update process. From here on in it’s all facial unlocking, powerful multi-tasking and folder organisation fun. And hopefully over-the-air updates from now on too.
