Wireless charging has been a recurrent theme at CES for the last couple of years, with loads of companies demonstrating prototypes of wireless chargers for every day gadgets. Bizarrely, they all seem to be based in Michigan too.

The wait could finally be over, though. Powermat reckons it will have docks capable of charging three devices at once and sleeves for common gadgets available by the summer. The technology is based on magnetic induction, and is claimed to be over 90 per cent efficent.

It's not too expensive either. The charger will initially cost $100 in the US, with adaptors priced at $29.99.
