Samsung Galaxy S III to land in summer 2012

Samsung Galaxy S III

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S III will be unveiled by the summer and not at this month’s Mobile World Congress.

The internet has been buzzing with rumours about when Sammy's iPhone 4S-killing successor to the Galaxy S II will debut – but Samsung put us out of our upgrade misery when it confirmed that we won’t be able to get our mitts on a Galaxy S III until a little later in the year.

Samsung wants to delay launching its new flagship model until after the spring when the phone will be closer to going on sale.

The company is staying schtum about the phone’s specs but we’re confidently predicting the presence of a top-flight Exynos quad-core processor, 3D compatible Super AMOLED Plus 720p display powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and TouchWiz.

I'm sorry stuff magazine, but is it possible you refrain from mentioing the Iphone 4s in every Samsung phone releated article, it's getting quite annoying/cheesy and it's just showing a lack of foresight on your behalf. The Iphone 4s, as great and beautiful as it is, is just about a match for the Galaxy S Advance and a few notches below the S2, so how on earth do you come to the bizarre conclusion it remotely has a chance against a next generation flagship device which at this point in time, is most likely being tweaked to ensure it is ten steps ahead of the competition in power using a next generation OS. If you want to make a valid comparison, compare it to a device which has yet to be officially announced at MWC such as the HTC Edge rocking a Tegra 3 chipset. Using the Iphone 4s as an example is just insulting to the phones that are technically superior to the 4s and using a model with a minute 3.5 inch offering which is last year's phone come late with a soon to be previous generation OS, does not qualify it in anyway to compete with a possible 4.7 inch superphone not yet unveiled to the public. Iphone 5 will no doubt be compared with the Galaxy S4 toting jellybean if your analysis is anything to go by.
