LG G Flex 3 could have 2K display and Snapdragon 820 processor

The next evolution of LG's bendy smartphone is expected to arrive in March 2016

We won’t be rattling too many cages by predicting that the LG G Flex 2 will be getting a successor next year – and in fact some spec details have already leaked online.

The claims, from our old friend “an anonymous source” and published by MobiPicker, are that the G Flex 3 will be arriving sometime in March 2016, will be fitted with a 6in QHD display, and will be encased in a metal structure body. Nothing too difficult to believe there, we think you’ll agree.

The rumours go on to say the G Flex 3 will offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, a huge 4GB of RAM and will have 32GB of expandable storage. The phone will also come with a 20.7MP rear camera and a 8MP front-facing shooter. Oh, and a fingerprint scanner will be embedded into the power button of the phone.

We were rather impressed by what LG achieved with the G Flex 2 (read our full review for the details), but there is plenty of room for improvement, so we’re hoping that its successor can be even more of a fine flexible friend. The above specs suggest that it’ll certainly be a fair bit larger (the G Flex 2 has a 5.5in screen), while 4GB should boost its multitasking skills and zippiness considerably.

With seven months to go until the rumoured launch of the Flex 3, details could change so we’ll keep you updated.
