Laptops dressed in haute coutre togs are seriously covetable bits of kit that inevitably demand tear-inducing price tags. So when Dell masterfully crafted the prestigious Adamo XPS (and the entry level Adamo for that matter), it was desired by many and met with genuine squeals of excitement and equally, financial apprehension.

It’s quirky and high-concept computing at its finest. But does its performance match its wonderful high-end design? Has Dell sorted out the battery woes of its predecessor?
