Packing a Vertu phone is in the top three things to do to prove you’re sickeningly rich – right below trampling poor defenceless animals into the a bloody pulp on horseback, or burning tenners in front of scruffy buskers. In an attempt to move up the hallowed list, Vertu has decided to bundle all six of its Ascent Racetrack Legend phones into a specially crafted box. The somewhat extravagant collection will include all four already released Motorsport phones and also debut the two new Monaco and Nurburgring handsets before their official release sometime next year. Also included in the box of rampant consumerism is a Racetrack Legends Series Collectors Book and six certificates of authenticity – one for each phone – all signed by the president of Vertu and the presidents of the respective racetracks.Only 51 of the sets will be made with the serial numbers 0001 to 0050 and 0888. There’s no explanation behind that odd serial number, perhaps it’s got subtitles, but you can expect to pay somewhere around £30,000 for the privilege of owning one. Still, nothing’s too great to get one over on the proles eh?
Motorsport boxset is Vertu-al insanity
