While Pioneer's been readying its new high-end plasma boxes, LG's been busy adding a dab of luxury to its top plasma pair, by dipping them in the same dark Chocolate coating as its uber fashionable mobile range – right down to the red touch sensitive buttons. While we're sure the smaller of the two, the 50in PB65, would more than meet our home cinema needs, for maximum bragging rights it has to be the PF95 (pictured). We may need to take the door off the hinges to squeeze it in but with 60in of Chocolatey smooth plasma to play with we'd frankly take out the wall if we had to.Its 15,000:1 contrast ratio won't quite match Pioneer's 20,000:1 specimens and just two HDMI slots is positively stingy but LG has thrown in Clear Filter Pro. It whips out the usual jam jar-style thick glass filter and replaces it with a thin film that takes care of reflection and glare while boosting brightness levels. It also helps keep the two beasts down to a tame 9 and 10cm thick. Also getting the plasma treatment is the 42 and 50in PC55. If LCD is more your thang then LG delivers with the similarly full HD LY95 and LF66 series, which both get 37in, 42in and 47in models, with a 52-incher following on later. No prices yet but don't expect a Chocolate telly free on contract any time soon.
