Let's face it, as far as style goes, Bluetooth headsets have a pretty bad rep. They make you look like an extra from a low-budget film set in the future, as well as quite plainly crazy.

The Aliph Jawbone, however, has had the designer treatment. And we don't mean its price has been jacked up and its specs lowered. Lovingly crafted by Yves Behar, designer of the XO laptop for the One Laptop Per Child project, the Jawbone stands out from the crowd.

This new model has a beveled diamond pattern finish and is half the size of the original Jawbone. It's now a diminuitive 50.8mm long and weighs in at just 10g.

Military-grade "NoiseAssassin" technology blocks out up to 90 per cent more noise than other headsets so you can quietly talk to yourself instead of shouting at passers-by.

It has a talk time of four hours and standby time of eight days. When that runs out, you can charge it on the magnetic base. It'll reach an 80 per cent charge in just 35 minutes.

While they've got the design right, we're not so sure about the colour "variations". Available now in Bla Bla Black, and coming soon in Silver Tongue and Goldy Lips.
