Sky Movies companion app announced

Following the success of Sky Go, this new companion app for film fans aims to impress

Sky scooped up the award for App of the Year at last night’s Stuff Awards 2011, and now it’s announced a follow-up Sky Movies app – so we’re excited.

The new Sky Movies app will work with Sky Go and Sky+ to deliver a guide to what’s both on Sky and at the cinema, with links to view trailers – and films, using Sky Go. It’ll also enable Sky Movies subscribers to record films through the Sky+ app.

Sky plans to incorporate reviews too, but not on the companion app’s initial release in the next few weeks.
