Apple confirms global releases for iPad 2

This Friday 25 March will see the iPad 2 launch in the 25 countries worldwide, but Asia will have to wait

The queues for Apple’s iPad 2 will begin this Friday in 25 countries including England, Germany, Greece, Mexico, New Zealand and Iceland, but not Asia. Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore should expect the dual-core, 9.7in slice of excitement sometime in April. Apple CEO Steve Jobs said, “We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.” Apple teased that the device can be expected in many more countries around the world in the coming months, as it continues to uphold its domination of the tablet market. As for “everyone”, that’s six billion people, or a whole lot of iPads.
