Move over Snoopy – Bremont's Altitude MB Meteor x Felix the Cat is the new cartoon watch collab in town

Bremont Felix on wrist

Bremont has just dropped a watch featuring Felix the Cat, and it might be the most fun military tool watch you’ll buy this year.

The Altitude MB Meteor ‘Felix the Cat’ is a limited edition collaboration between the British watchmaker and Universal Products & Experiences. It puts the iconic cartoon character (from 1919 silent film era fame) front and centre on a 42mm stealth-black titanium pilot’s watch.

Felix isn’t just slapped on as an afterthought. He’s running away with the number 6 on the dial — a nod to “watch your six,” the fighter-pilot term for the danger zone directly behind you. I think it’s really clever and playful.

Don’t let that cartoon cat fool you, though, the watch’s aviation credentials are still the real deal. Bremont’s MB series is built to survive the punishing tests used to certify Martin-Baker ejection seats.

Felix’s connection to military aviation runs deep. He’s been the mascot of US Navy squadron VFA-31, the “Tomcatters,” tracing back through the original VF-3. That history gives this collaboration genuine weight.

The black DLC-coated titanium case looks properly tactical. Bright yellow accents on the minute track and the iconic MB ejection-seat pull handle on the seconds hand pop brilliantly against the all-black palette.

Inside sits Bremont’s BB14-AH movement, built on a Le Joux Perret calibre. It delivers 68 hours of power reserve and sits in a rubber-mounted shock-absorbing cage with soft-iron anti-magnetic shielding.

The open caseback reveals the movement in gunmetal grey with Geneva stripes, plus a Felix-themed decorated crystal, which is a really nice touch.

Of course, cartoon watch collaborations have become increasingly popular in recent years. It started with the Omega Silver Snoopy Award Speedmaster, which commemorated the Swiss watchmaker receiving the NASA Silver Snoopy Award, but we’ve also seen Snoopy MoonSwatches, Seiko x Pink Panther, Spinnaker x Popeye, and this rather awesome SpongeBob collab.

Only 500 of the Bremont Altitude MB Meteor ‘Felix the Cat’ watches are being made. It’s available now, priced at $6850 in the US and £5950 in the UK.
