‘Wise button’ sounds like an uninspired character from an animated movie about clothes that come alive when their owners leave the room.
Yes, we suppose it sort of does, if you spend far too long thinking about it. It isn’t that. The Wise Button is a universal Bluetooth remote for all of your BT-equipped devices.
And why would I need a universal remote for my Bluetooth things? I can just take them out of my pocket and prod them with my fingers.
Ask not why, but why not? You can use this convenient gadget for presentations, to pause and play films without having to move to your laptop or media PC, skip tracks on your dock speaker or take photos remotely from your device’s built-in camera with a click.
Still not quite convinced… I’d prefer Apparel Antics, Dreamworks’ next visual spectacular.
But there’s more. It also tracks devices, so you’ll be able to easily find your misplaced phone. (It’s in the fridge again.) Just hit the search button and the linked device “will reveal itself”. As for how exactly, the information is scant, but we’re guessing by a shrill alarm that will be embarrassingly difficult to miss.

But what if I lose the Wise Button?
Aha. The Wise Button’s designers are one step ahead of you. This device-seeking device can be located using the gadget you hooked it up to. Until the battery runs out, of course. But that will take about a month before you need to charge it via USB. Do remember to juice it up, ok?
Where do I sign?
Right now, on Indiegogo. The Wise Button for iOS, Android and Windows Phone starts from US$35 and for US$70, depending on colour and finish. You get two Wise Button stickers that act as Bluetooth trackers, as long as whatever they’re attached to is within 150 feet (45m).
Now you’ll never lose track of your kids again, until they get beyond 150 feet, in which case, you’re on your own. As Apparel Antics’ Wise Button would say, ‘Layering is more effective than single, thick garments. Dress your kids in multiple thin layers to make sure they’re safe and warm.’
