LG Optimus G officially announced
LG's new flagship smartphone, the Optimus G, will hit South Korea in September ahead of a global launch in either October or November. The quad-core phone will arrive packing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – no Jelly Bean, sadly.
Still, despite the lack of Jelly Bean goodness, the Optimus G will run at a cracking pace thanks to its 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. 32GB of onboard memory gives you plenty of space for software, but LG hasn't made any mention of support for additional storage. LG Chem has supplied the 2100 mAh battery – the first with a lifespan of 800 cycles, which should keep you ticking over until your next upgrade.
The Optimus G's 4.7in IPS+ display packs in 1280x768 resolution for a near-Retina Display 320ppi. LG claims that when the screen's switched off, it's the same colour as the bezel, giving you an expanse of solid black glass that looks like the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. You also get a 13MP camera for taking snaps that'll do justice to its screen, plus the obligatory front-facing camera – 1.3MP – for video calls.
The Optimus G will also come packing some new software – a Live Zoom feature for video, plus Dual Screen Dual Play, which lets you mirror your smartphone with a display, while showing different content on each screen.

Anyone would have to be certified CRAZY to buy any phone branded LG.
They are shysters - will take your money and swap it for a shiny new phone with great specs... its only once its too late that you will realise its full of LG bloatware slowing the phone down and crippling the battery life...
6 months to a year later you'll also discover that your all singing, all dancing phone is still running very old versions of Android... don't expect Jelly Bean and certainly not Key Lime Pie... you might get them 2 years after release if you are lucky.
Basically, AVOID LG AT ALL COSTS...
