Asus Padfone is a smartphone-tablet hybrid

02 Jun 2011

Kangaroos are the clowns of the animal kingdom. They’re stupid and have massive feet. But they’ve evolved a neat trick – a pouch in which to sling their unruly offspring while they’re hopping around the outback. Asus has borrowed this trick for its Padfone, which docks your smartphone in its own gadgety pouch.

The 10.1in tablet and 4.3in Android handset can then roam the internet in tandem. Hopefully the price won’t be too comical when the Padfone’s availability is announced later this year. For more details, check out the video below.

While this hysterical promo vid tells you how the Padfone will help you pull off that elusive threesome. But is otherwise totally irrelevant.

Looks like a really effective solution to the problem of wanting a small device but access to a big screen- it all depends on the spec of each :-)

This looks like a brilliant solution to the problem of needing to carry a phone and a tablet. I have just bought the Asus Transformer and it is simply excellent, so I am sure the Padfone will be great as well. Depends on the spec and cost, but to use the phone to run the tablet is a great idea. Looking forward to hearing more!
