Opinion – What's the best Christmas present you've ever received?

17 Nov 2011

You may have noticed some strange things happening recently; mince pies in the dessert aisle, high streets festooned with lights, and family members giving you wishlists containing desired objects. Well, these events are all related – yes, it's nearly time for Christmas.

Rather than bemoaning the ever earlier commencement of forced joviality, we've decided to indulge in Yuletide nostalgia by naming our favourite ever Christmas presents. And we'd like you to do the same. Did you ever experience the joy pulling a Battle Cat from your stocking? Or was your standout year the one where you tortured your family with off-key Pet Shop Boy remixes made on your shiny new Yamaha PSS-790 keyboard?

Let us know in the comments below and you (and your present) could appear in the February issue of Stuff magazine (on shelves 4th January).

I wandered downstairs to see a huge present in the middle of the living room, when I unwrapped it I found a fully constructed desk and a Commodore Vic-20 running Wacky Waiters, as it turns out my parents spent hours earlier playing Blitz which my grandad took a huge liking too, I never did see much of that vic-20 after that.
