This wooden thing has buttons that control your home

Because wood is good - and smarter than your tacky plastic

Buttons are all good and lovely, but sometimes you want the pushy numbers to do just a little bit more. You know, such as set off your Swedish sofa with a finely crafted rosewood shell? Thankfully, this clever puck – dubbed the Turn Touch – knows a thing or two about fine-grain functionality. Equipped with four of those useful button things, it’ll play nice with a host of smart home gear via Wi-Fi – including kit from Sonos, Philips Hue and Nest – with each button able to perform multiple roles. Which is good, given that it’ll cost you US$79 if you back it on Kickstarter.
