Sony Xperia Tablet photos leak

Sony's new slate will keep the folded-page design seen on the Tablet S – but in a slimmed-down form

Clearer images of the rumoured Sony Xperia Tablet have leaked ahead of its expected launch at IFA. The new shots clearly show the Xperia branding on the back of the tablet, and the folded-page design it’s inherited from the Sony Tablet S.

It’s packed into a smaller frame, though – the Xperia Tablet is 11.9mm at its thickest point versus the 20.6mm girth of the Tablet S.

The Xperia Tablet is expected to arrive packing a 1280×800, 9.4in screen, a Tegra 3 processor and 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options. A keyboard case and splash-proofing round out the rumoured features list – we’ll keep you posted when we see it in the flesh at IFA.
