When Nokia unveiled its 808 PureView at MWC – complete with an extraordinary 41MP snapper – it quickly grabbed all the headlines. Many felt its novelty value meant it would never see the light of day, but fast forward to a few months later, it’s out and still a hot tech topic – but disappointingly, for all the wrong reasons. On paper, its camera smarts put all other smartphone cameras to shame, but combining an impressive 41MP sensor with Nokia’s very unimpressive Symbian 3 is like eating caviar with a Tesco Value cracker.
