Among the wannabe iPod Nanos and USB snowmen there’s some interesting accessories getting their first international airing at CES. Piquing our interest were these anonymous looking objects from Hong Kong’s Express Office Automation Co.Turns out they’re FM transmitters for mobile phones – offering a fiendishly cheap and easy way to plumb a handsfree setup into your car, now that it’s all legal ‘n’ all.Simply plug it into your Motorola or Nokia and it’ll stream conversations over the airwaves to your head unit and on to your parcel shelf Kenwoods, a built-in mic handles your side of the nattering.A quick visit to the Express website turns up a few more features including the intriguing: ‘Automatically turns odd sound coming from your car stereo’. A special effects unit perhaps? Or possibly just a mistranslation. We await with eager anticipation for ours to turn up.
