Don’t buy any other phone when the Google Pixel 9a is this cheap
Ace all-rounder falls into truly affordable territory
When it launched back in early 2025 the Pixel 9a instantly became the new mid-range phone standard-bearer, being good enough in pretty much every area that for most people, there really wasn’t much need to spend any extra. That’s now doubly true this Black Friday as Google has slashed the price, pushing it down into truly affordable territory.
The Google Pixel 9a originally retailed for $499/£499, but those prices have tumbled by as much as 30% for a limited time.
Black Friday Week is here, and you can find all the best offers over on Amazon US and Amazon UK.
Over at Amazon UK, you’ll find a huge 30% discount from the usual retail price, bringing it down to just £347. It easily eclipses virtually every budget handset doing the rounds right now for performance, camera quality and long-term software support.
Amazon US is only stocking refurbished units right now, so US shoppers should head to the Google store instead: the Pixel 9a is brand new in box there for $399, or 20% off the usual RRP.
With a design heavily inspired by Google’s higher-end Pixel 9 series – and which still looks current now the Pixel 10 generation is official – the Pixel 9a gives few clues that it’s really a mid-range device. It’s rocking a palm-friendly 6.3in OLED display with 60-120Hz variable refresh rate for smooth scrolling, and power comes from the same Tensor G4 chipset you’d find in the rest of the Pixel 9 series.
The 5100mAh battery can comfortably last for a full day of use, and of course you’re getting Android in its purest form, with Google’s Gemini AI smarts ready to lend a helping hand.
It’s the twin rear cameras that really make this phone stand out, though. The 48MP lead lens and 13MP ultrawide rely on Google’s advanced image processing tech to deliver photos that were properly impressive for a $500 phone; with these discounts in effect, there’s little else out there that’s as well-rounded, or able to cope with low light scenes as effectively. Just check out a few of the sample shots taken from our review below.

Sure, Google is probably hard at work on a successor model – March 2026 is the likely launch window – but that doesn’t take away from the fact the Pixel 9a is really all the phone you really need right now.
