Cramming in BluRay 2.0 tech, meaning BD Live extras and more bonus features, the DBP–2010 also comes with 10 bit video processing for HD and SD pics. You'll get the best available picture via the HDMI 1.3a connection, plus 3D digital noise reduction.
There's Dolby TrueHD, with two–channel audio analogue audio output for those who fancy using the DBP–2010 as their CD player too. Add to that an Ethernet port for web connectivity and firmware updates and you've got a winner.
Denon says the DBP–2010 is their first "affordable" model. But at £599, that all comes down to how much cash you've got floating about.
But with news today confirming Blu–Ray sales hit 3.1 million in the first half of 2009, soaring 231 per cent compared to the same period last year, gadget fans are clearly lapping up the HD format.
