We already know that Dell is a Blu-ray fanboy but its hardly been rushing to fit its machines with its hi-def flavour of choice. A few months back its XPS M1710 gaming lappie got the treatment and now it’s the turn of the giant XPS M2010With a 256MB Radeon X1800 graphics card on-board and that lush 20.1in display we can’t think of a better home for an HD drive. The slot loader replaces the standard DVD burner and will burn to 50GB BD-R discs or standard DVDs and CDs. Let’s just hope it doesn’t add any extra weight – our backs are still aching from the last time we carted the ‘portable’ out the office. It’s available now in the States but should be up on the Dell UK site before long – expect an entirely reasonable premium of around £250 if the M1710 prices are anything to go by.
