Having your radio hooked up to your MP3 player shouldn’t be the preserve of the four-wheeled commuter. If you’ve been stamping your feet over the issue, you can now take a well-earned break: Morphy Richards has whipped out a DAB MP3 player to give you the best of both worlds, whatever your preferred method of transport.

In its radio guise the player offers up digital and FM and has ID3 tagging too, which lets you view all the DAB information such as programme details, playlists, song lyrics and news.

Its MP3 mode includes everything you’d expect from an MP3 player - repeat and shuffle modes and a six preset graphic equaliser – letting you listen to your downloaded music whenever the radio DJ becomes too much of a bore.

It’s not bad looking either, with a silver finish, white headphones and large backlit display.

We think it’s the perfect solution to the horror commute – when you’re on the bus you can listen to the news and DJ banter then, when you descend into the underground, you can rattle through the tunnels to music of your own discerning taste. Parfait.

Available in two capacities, the DAB MP3 Player from Morphy Richards retails for £139.99 for the 256MB model and £159.99 for the 512MB.  Click here for more.
