Aliens: Colonial Marines gets new trailer

Gearbox’s sci fi shoot ‘em up detailed in fresh video – but also delayed until February 2013

Upcoming FPS Aliens: Colonial Marines promises to bring a blend of suspense, scares and shooting to your living room – and now you can get a clearer idea of what’s in store thanks to a new trailer from developers Gearbox Software.

The trailer – made entirely from in-game footage, it says – shows plenty of pulse rifle and chest-bursting action, but sadly also reveals that the game has slipped from a pre-Christmas 2012 release date to February 12 2013. So this is one title you won’t be playing over your leftovers on Boxing Day.

It’s coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, and there’ll also be a Wii U version that seems likely to go on sale at a later date. Aliens: Colonial Marines was rumoured to be a Wii U launch title, but that may no longer be the case…
