TAG Heuer has built the ultimate smartwatch for F1 fans – meet the Connected E5 x Formula 1
TAG Heuer’s new smartwatch puts the entire race weekend on your wrist, so you’re never more than a glance away from the action
TAG Heuer has created a new smartwatch specifically for Formula 1 fans, designed to bring live race schedules, standings, and track-themed watch faces directly to your wrist. The Connected Calibre E5 x Formula 1 (based on the excellent Connected Calibre E5) turns the sport into something you follow constantly, not just when the lights go out on Sunday afternoon.
At its core is a dedicated Formula 1 app built into the watch. It shows the full race calendar, session timings, championship standings, and results, all sourced directly from official timing data.
You don’t need to pull out your phone to check when qualifying starts or who’s leading the drivers’ championship. The watch keeps you connected throughout the entire race weekend, from first practice to the podium.
As a massive Formula One fan, one that happily wakes up at 4AM for the early races, this smartwatch massively speaks to me.
The highlight is its dynamic “Race Track” watch face, which changes automatically for each Grand Prix. Every race gets its own circuit outline, national flag, and name, with a moving dot circling the track to mark the passing seconds.

There are 24 unique versions, matching the full Formula 1 season. It’s a small detail, but it makes the watch feel alive, constantly shifting as the championship moves around the world.
This isn’t just a themed software update, though. The hardware reflects the motorsport focus too, with a lightweight Grade 2 titanium case finished in black DLC and red accents inspired by racing colours (because everyone knows red = speed).
The bezel markings reference different race weekend phases, including practice, qualifying, and the Grand Prix itself. Even the pushers and crown carry design touches that nod to the pit lane.
TAG Heuer’s connection to Formula 1 runs deep, from historic partnerships with teams and drivers like Ayrton Senna to its current role working alongside Oracle Red Bull Racing and timing the sport once again as Official Timekeeper of Formula 1.
This watch is a modern extension of that relationship. Instead of timing races trackside, it now delivers race information directly to fans in real time.

Beyond the Formula 1 features, it still works as a full smartwatch. It tracks heart rate, activity, sleep, and recovery, while dual-band GNSS improves accuracy for outdoor workouts.
Two straps are included: a leather and rubber version with red stitching for everyday wear, and a textile strap designed for comfort during workouts or overnight tracking.
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 x Formula 1 will be available with early access through TAG Heuer’s website, priced at US$2550 / £2150, giving fans a chance to experience the season in a new way.
