Dell Adamo XPS officially announced

Dell has finally announced the Adamo XPS, complete with the full long-awaited specs. As the world's thinnest laptop at 9.99mm thin, it has still manage

As the world’s thinnest laptop at 9.99mm thin, it has still managed to squeeze in a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor, 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM into its skinny shell.

With a 13.4-inch HD display, the Adamo XPS also features a full size keyboard with aluminium keys and a multitouch trackpad, all opened up with the swipe of a finger on the unique hinge design we’ve seen in all the pictures.

Despite its skinny physique, the XPS still manages to pack a removable battery unlike its MacBook Air rival, meaning if the battery dies an early death your laptop doesn’t have to as well.

It is, however, heavier than the MacBook Air at 1.44kg versus 1.36kg, has a slower processor and will only run for 2 hours on the standard 3-cell battery, requiring an upgrade to hit the more desirable 5 hours.

Still, it does look rather lovely and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. There’s been no dates or prices touted at the moment, but we’ll be keeping you updated with all we hear.

What do you think? Let us know below and check out our full review and hands on video with the MacBook Air to see how it compares.
