LG-qualcomm-event

In recent months we’ve seen more smartphones launched than we’ve hands to catch them with, and now another is coming in the form of the LG Optimus G.

We were informed that the Optimus G will launch in Korea first, this month, and then roll out worldwide. Now Engadget has received a US invite to an LG launch event on September 19th. Here’s hoping Europe follows hot on the heels of the likely US launch.

But will the power of Qualcomm’s new quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor be enough to push the LG Optimus G ahead of the new iPhone 5, or the innovative Nokia Lumia 920, or the king of the Android phones the Samsung Galaxy S3? Check back here for details on release day and a full review to follow.

Oh ffs (pardon my language), seriously stuff Magazine. I'm getting really tired of mentions of the IPhone 5 in everyone one of your goddam articles, even if they aren't IPhone articles. I know you bring up the HTC one X, but isn't that in itself an excuse to bring up the IPhone 5, which let's face it, is garnering pretty negative first impressions and isn't really that big of a leap anyway, especially when comparing to the superior competition whom are now certainly leaving the once dominant IPhone trailing far behind. Oh dear, two more years and Apple will have just caught up with a Jelly Bean laden Galaxy Note original.
