Sony Entertainment Network launches

If you've been collecting pieces of Sony kit for years and looking gloomily at your friends' Apple gadgets getting on nicely with their iTunes and their AirPlay, your patience is finally being rewarded. Forget Qriocity and forget all this business talk about Sony Ericsson – this is what you need to know. 

Sony has just launched its Entertainment Network to make sure you can stream or download the same content (seven million music tracks, for example) to all of your Sony devices. That includes the new Sony tablets, PlayStation consoles, Sony Ericsson phones, Sony TVs and Blu-ray players plus Walkman MP3 players and other Android handsets and tablets. 

It's not just music either – the new network includes movies and Playstation games too via Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and Playstation Network subscription packages. Just another reason for Sony fans to expand their electronics shrines then.
