Xbox 720 release as soon as 2012?

16 Nov 2011

Not two days after we reported Microsoft’s Xbox 720 will appear at CES in January, and there’s more evidence coming to light to support it’s imminent unveiling.

The developers behind Assassin’s Creed: Revelations have revealed that they are working on a title for the Xbox 360 successor using off-the-shelf kit supplied by Microsoft itself. They went on to suggest devkits would be delivered before Christmas, leading to the conclusion of the interviewer from Edge – that the Xbox 720 could be unveiled at CES 2012 in January, with a view to releasing it later in the year.

With talk of a 6-core CPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM and a GPU custom-built by AMD, we’re very excited to get on that plane to Vegas for CES 2012.
