Assuming that you live in Europe and are the proud owner of a Sony tablet, you’re in for an Ice Cream Sandwich-flavoured treat before May is through. The company’s Tablet S and Tablet P are getting Android 4.0.3 and there are some extra gems just for Sony tableteers.

Sony Tablet S users will be able to access stuff on a full-sized SD card directly for the first time, plus both tablets will get Small Apps (see above screenshot) that making launching common apps easier than ever. And Sony’s revamped the camera app to improve editing and slideshows.

Whether it’ll be enough to give Sony’s tablet sales a lift remains to be seen, but we’d think the company is prepping an announcement for its 2012 line-up of tablets in September, so you might be better holding out for the time being.
