iPhone 5 adapter will cost you a cheeky US$30

Apple has unveiled the new 4in iPhone 5 with its Lightning dock connector. As far as we can see the only change is a slightly smaller 8-pin connector and an ability to put it in either way up. And for that privilege, and the use of your speaker dock you’ve already bought, you’ll have to pay Apple US$30 for the adapter.
That’s a steep price for something that really should be free with the new iPhone 5 and iPod Touch that use the Lightning connection. And the alternative is forking out for a brand new speaker dock. Perhaps it wouldn’t be such a sour pill to swallow if the thing wasn’t so ugly.

Add to that the fact that it will not work with any analogue docks, which is most of them. The Adapter is digital only and won't transfer video either.
Now give it 4 stars due to it's long list of compatibility problems and maybe, just maybe, Apple will make something that doesn't smell of a rip-off.
