Wii HD rumours resurface

Another year, another rumour of a pixel-pushing Wii with more grunt. But maybe this time...

No, this isn’t the first Wii HD news that’s floated around, but it’s being whispered rather more loudly than before.

A number of anonymous sources reckon the big N will unveil a HD version of the waggle box at this year’s E3 in June. 1080p support is on the cards – anything less would be an insult at this stage – and naturally, backwards compatibility is a given.

Time will tell if this is all more hot air or a bona fide bit of info. Guess we’ll just have to wait till E3 for some closure.
