Taking notes from the original Viewty, the Smart is big on both looks and photography, and is being touted as the slimmest 8 megapixel camera phone on the market.
As well as picking up 3 more megapixels on its predecessor, the Smart will pack the same 3D User Interface seen on the Arena, increased light sensitivity up to ISO 1600 and an Intelligent Shot Mode – a first for camera phones.
You'll also get a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen, DivX and Xvid compatibility for movies on-the-go, and improved video capabilities, all in a 12.4mm thin shell.
LG has said we can expect to see the Viewty Smart on shelves in May, although an exact date is yet to be confirmed.
The company also took the opportunity to out its plans to launch a 12 megapixel camera phone with "even more smart features" later this year – could it rival Sony Ericsson's forthcoming Idou?
We'll keep you updated with all the news on this, but in the meantime check out what we thought of the original Viewty in our review.
