Samsung Innov8 set for September

As soon as Samsung unveiled their i8510 Innov8 8MP camera phone last month, we knew we were in for an old school tech showdown. And after Sony Ericsson

And after Sony Ericsson landed the first punch with Cybershot C905, Samsung has hit back, announcing that their own 8MP–toting cell will be the first such phone available to eager UK punters.

Those gagging for the Innov8 (in spite of its truly appalling name), will be able to snag one from The Carphone Warehouse in early September. Sony Ericsson has said previously that the C905 will most likely hit stores in October at the earliest.

Just to refresh your memory, the Innov8 packs 8MP, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi–Fi and runs Symbian S60.

We’ll be getting hold of one very soon, so be sure to look out for an in–depth review and hands–on video too.
