It was only a few months ago that we were eagerly awaiting the Atlantic crossing of the original placeshifting Slingbox. Now we're doing the same with its offspring – all three of them. First up, Slingbox Tuner (left) does the same job of streaming Neighbours to any internet-connected device but now gets its own analogue tuner, so there’s no need for it to be plugged into a telly. Slingbox AV (right) is a simple upgrade from the original with 'up to 300 percent better streaming performance'. Multitasking Top of the pile is the Slingbox Pro (front), which can control a Shiva-like four devices at any one time, including DVD players and digital cameras. 16:9 widescreen is supported and, with a US$50 dongle, it'll also handle HD. Unfortunately, due to the current bandwidth constraints, the streamed output is downgraded to standard resolution. Damn you, lousy internet.
